THE GARDEN OF RELATIONSHIPS

Trees swinging and swaying Winter wings bellowing Fallen leafs collecting More time to spend raking What becomes of a garden without its green? Once we met but have parted ways The sorries, forgive mes and I love yous we once said Lasted no longer than the spring rains But the memories made always stays Stay to make days long and nights cold To make life somewhat lonesome Relationships and trees I don't see much differences Both grow and flourish in spring Wither and shed with the Winder's dry wind Requiring much care, nursing and tending Still without assurance of surviving I have made a handful of friends A garden I intend to proudly tend All broken branches to bind and mend Its green must know no end I am irrigating till spring comes around again.

PROVE ME WRONG

Honeyed tongue For your emptiness I longed A mere shiny stone Feigning itself a piece of gold Thence to many stories told So much for the water a basket holds Hollowness and loud noise You can't separate those Loud mouthedness and lies Faithful husband and wife Unbreakable binds for life You can't divorce those hard as you try Heard this song long enough Falsehood gets embraced while reason is tossed Wrong destination is begotten by wrong courses The end lays visible from the take off No surprises but it still hurts Hurt more than a deep cut I knew you are as beautiful as you are flawed Despite do I dare to trust Hope against hope you prove me wrong That everyone is capable of a turn Even a bat can land on the ground But I was the one who was wrong A rodent that gets attracted by an owls eyes Won't live long enough to realise that fatality of its fantasies My tears and sties Against that you can verify My potent and infallible testimony Can'

AM I THE ONLY ONE

Scary stares Smiles are dear Wisdom is lost in the fog Collision of conflicting cultures Booom, a fireworks of flawed colours More, lost than learned Everybody is wronged Tolerance and patience is outran Mutual suspicion Paranoia the new order Brothers against one another Hate has no restriction nor borders Bigger stars swallow smaller ones Full cycle and full moon Cannibalism broods A beautiful piece Cruchetted piece of mal-mixed colours Beautiful flowers yet the garden bears flaws Beautiful clouds with a crooked sun Beautifully laid bed with thorns Equal amounts of light and darkness Perfect blend of sanity and madness Sweet cruel reality Am I the only one or all has gone empty? Get off your gloom Smile like the sun Let laughter brighten you Like the night the moon Over life, death looms Live and die, all too soon Live then, enjoy this falsehood For as long as it feigns to be true Live or not, life must be lost.

LIFE IS WHAT LIFE IS

"Life is a bitch" I tend to see otherwise She is too bright Too bright to be such a sh*t She takes you too high Sets you up for a crash Too high, nothing can cushion, not even a mattress The fall leaves you in shreds like trash Who then is the bitch? If you've seen the light We're the bitches She does us all doggy Leaving us such trashed p**sies There's no saving. Life is what life is Go with her as she comes And maybe you get to reach home Life is what life is

The Call To Humanity

Standing at this point where clouds collide Perforated by the piercing rays of the sun As they dawdle home; Where the calm rivers of troubled humanity finds respire In her shushing distant hum No place else to go, so in small circles she runs Far from home and close to nowhere Hope is long lost and patience is starting to wear Salvation is somewhere far out there But we all are too frightened, no one will dare Too cowardly to fight our fears Too selfish and greedy to even care So on the banks we stand and watch her drown in her own tears On the brink of her fall Reaching for something or someone to hold But far as she stretched, she was still alone Wondering how all suddenly went cold Colder than ever imagined or ever told “Something has certainly gone wrong This was never the path to go” If it was a prophecy, it did not end here; it went all the way home. A mother-hen shields her chicks from the rain and hail Underneath her comforting wings that never fails Her

A picture in my mind Of futures and dreams So hard to find And yet the undiscovered Is so close it seems And continuously redefined Clouds still on a Mary go round The sun still watching silently without a making a sound Humanity slowly growing into an amplified noise-some sound Dreams, like a needle in a haystack, can't be found (c) #Tee2emm #40DaysAnd40NightsOfPoetry

God's gift to gods

God's gift to gods Preciously carved to be adored Even the heaven stands in awe When this beauty, it behold I see the sun struggle in competition The light you emit is beyond imagination Men squint from your radiance Spelled in your eloquence And sing of your confidence and diligence Like a fountain in the heart of a desert We have come to be refreshed Like merry-maniacs We have come for the birthday sweet snacks Don't deny these merry-mongers that for which their hearts hunger Go forth in the grace you wear Shine a little more without care Love some more there's always someone there Smile some more, you may be the ignition we've yearned for Merry today, cos todays are very rare. Very happy birthday Jossy dear T2m

Gift from the galaxies

A star fell off the sky and crashed on the earth These two lonely hearts it met Who would've guessed This pleasant chemistry was to connect Too many suns have traveled here And all has become more clear The product therefrom held dear So dear that nothing can dare smear I see the sun seating precariously on the clouds With definite strokes it defines my thoughts It sits same as the day that star fell The galaxies must be aching with a story to tell Today is a day to wine and merry Send the song blaring A gratitude of a great gift received Happy birthday Keem Dreamz

A MOTHER

Every night I read from the pages of her heart My two hands holding the pages agape I try to read wholly, not part But the read cuts through the heart Reading through her adventurous day Smiling to all her happy moments Shedding tears to her moments of torment Taking her hand to the firmaments Her wounds I'll tend to mend Her blindness to heal Her crippled knee Mend till she stands Stand all by herself again Every meal she served Tasted the true taste of love Every bowl of water she served Tasted like it was from the fountain of the heart Her wretched clothes shone Shone like a snow flake directly against the sun Her unkempt hair still shone Shone bright with the radiance of self-pride Her feet bore beautiful tattoos Testimonies of the valleys she has through She cried our tears And soothed away our fears When our heads were dropped because they felt too heavy She showed us how to stay focus and steady Like teaching someone to walk barefoot on a sw

Once upon a poem

I lay my head to sleep But instead I drowned in emotions from deep Feeling imaginary shackles tighten My breath is suffocating My clenched fist hurts my wrist. A poem is to be born New songs are to be sung Bells of joyous  merriment be rung Burry all your burden in that wine bowl Drink till you stand a cousin with stupor I have a poem for a visitor Serve it a 3course Feast and enjoy Let him tell of these moments Let it lull your spirit to that place of serenity Sacrifice your sanity For a poetic insanity. Good night poetry

Fence Sitting

Its alright, go ahead, seat by Like a nature's admirer watching exotic birds fly by Distract yourself with the beauty overhead From the earthquaking chaos about Its ok, (really?), everything is just fine Relax with a glass of wine Enjoy the calm of sitting on that fence Why want any part of this shaming life Stay aloof cos love for peace is met with violence And love for violence is ultimately met with death So go ahead, Trust me I know the sham comfort of the fence. Oh, so he was butchered? That's really sad Luckily, its not a relation nor a family member For sure I would have been really mad Look to the other side Go ahead in your cruising strides The fence is still cozy Far and safe from the world's crazy Insane grew into mad then into crazy The whole world went giddy Even the fence lost its safety Sideline seaters now share in the travail and peril The status quo reaches everybody Rich or poor, young or old, no one is for the sparing. The fence

Naturally Imperfect

Life's beautiful wine Dripping from my sinful lips The gluttony of the flesh Insatiable curiosity and appetite, yes This shameful nakedness I must undress Make these fallacies go nude till the confess Confess what is true or else She be the new object of ridicule We are bare and naked underneath With or without clothes, why then conceal it Instead of seeking out the best therein Wasting away life finding a perfect cover So this nakedness to put over But unfortunately flaw is the main ingredient in manufacturing man So putting the sun over this bleak darkness If man is imperfect in every way Then it must be ok this to say Imperfection is another form of perfection. Should you are worried and put down by your feeling of imperfection Smile!!! For a human to feel imperfect means he is perfectly human.

A POEM A DAY

Rap rap rap I wonder if you will let me inside I have come to flirt a bit Let me caress your mind And fondle your thoughts Let me undress your soul Let me foreplay your muse till it gets to cloud nine Pour out the yearnings of your being Things only the blind can see Pour out the venomous poems within Our hearts and souls are up for the cleansing Put that pen on a paper, dare to dream Dare to hope in spite the obvious end A poem a day Sounds like kneeling to pray A poem a day Sounds like a heart with a whole lot to say A poem a day Like the ever faithful sun and its rays A poem a day Chase gloom further away A poem a day Who knows, there may be a soul yearning to be saved A poem a day A poem a day Just a poem a day

THE BUS RIDE prt I

Staring into the window Looking at the vast nothingness of trees and shrubs speeding in an opposite direction Avoiding your eyes Ensuring you don't notice me looking at you. Wow what self torture How hard is it to say hi? That this much emotions I have to endure I'm sure she wouldn't bite Though who can tell, she just might. Smooth, fresh and sumptuous looking skin Comparing it against mine is a great discredit. I wish I could tell her this But why I didn't, I'm still not certain Now I ask myself why I argued when my friends say I'm a shy type Hours long ride Sitting just side by side Thoughts welling inside There is no respire Unless she alights.

THE BUS RIDE prt II

"Hi" Finally the shell if silence got cracked Then with a hypnotising smile she said "hi" In an instance I was in a trance I had to pinch myself back to life "How much longer will you be on this ride?" "Till the last stop" calmly she replied back Her smile now an elaborate grin revealing her perfect dent "Is it ok if I asked you to read something for me?" "When do you mean?" "Right now and here Straight from this mobile thing" "Ok then" said she I handed her the phone My hand half trembling She took it off my hand, her cotton-soft fingers clumsily touching my own Her face now glowing under the illumination of her perfection smile Revealing her perfect set Like corals littered around an ocean's shore Now set for the read She settled her eyes on the old scratched screen of my phone I tried to looked away so I won't see the countenance she'd wear But I was struck by m

Africa

Your peace and serenity gave way for pain Your green fields decorated with the slain The happy people before your masters came Though the masters left, the fields never regained its green again I remember the beauty of your mother's songs Like a healing balm they make all ache numb But your colonial master must have altered a few notes Now the beauty therein is gone It now sounds like a funeral song. Oh Africa They call you black Is that now also the colour of your heart? You were once royal Why did you throw away your royal robes, throne and crown And choose a commoners life of kissing the ground? Once your shoulders hung high But now they a drooping like tears from crying eyes Its time to go back Go back whence we came Though the path is over grown with bush and grass But it is not impossible to retrace Go back to our days of grandeur and grace . Happy Birthday My All

I may not be close My love for you is still sure As sure as Sahara's sun Immerse yourself in the day With its tides, swing and sway May it take you to a place of bliss, I pray. The sun, moon and stars are still Watching in awe the radiance you emit Its you birthday, enjoy its feel How can I afford not to be there Even on this day you hold dear I may be here, my heart is beside you and near This day shall become a fountain Thence shall spring goodies more than you can contain And make all bleak paths plain. Poetry can not make it sufficiently clear How much I wish I am there So I will pause here, just know it dear I love you a milli-much even on this day. Happy birthday my all Happy birthday my khada (wink)

Two Of Me

My body is here While my heart wanders there Though I have never been there But my head bears its image vivid and clear. When you sleep, I am there beside your bed Or at least, that's the picture in my head When you choose to rest instead, Lay your head on my breast And I will play with your hair and, with it, learn how to braid. I am divided in two One of me here, the other with you. Though sanity says "it is not a thing you can do" But love says "that's not true, You can be home and still be far away with your love too" Two of me; My heart and my body How can that be? I do not know if you ask me But I know for sure it is what is.

Tired of Love Poems

I am Tired of poems about love Sickened by love poems. I have a muse for a different stuff I don't want to write about the beauty of this world I'd rather tell how wrong it has gone And how hard it is to get the things for which we long Decent life; love; joy; peace; and a home. Love sounds like an almost beautiful song Just messed up by a few wrong notes Like a beautiful adventure Marred by a few wrong turns. Love is like love is not love anymore. I am tired of poems about love I want to unmask all the hurt behind every smil e ; I want to put the " not " in every " I am fine "; I want to show the similarity between love and hate ; To tell the relationship between joy and pain ; To tell how much hate we harbour in our hearts ; Thus open a new page that lays plain humanity's problems. I am tired of love poems They sound like a song sang from a cranky voice That awful sound of noise I want to te

The Wanderland

Dear lovely, take my coarse hands Let me lead us to a wonderland. Across this gorgeous green sea we shall sail To that place where love's sun never goes pale Where our hearts will never, again, ail. The moon has aged thus grand Here, sit with me on this sea shore's sand From whence we will watch hand in hand While we listen to our loving hearts pound. Lets count the night sky's stars And tell how lovely and beautiful they are. Lets watch the milky way fall to the earth And make silent wishes in our hearts. Ahh, beautiful lay here by my side And lets listen to nature's lovely lullaby As we recount the great time

Diamond In The Dirt

One of a kind Rare to find Harder to describe Thus a poem with lengthy lines. As opaque as she is transparent As dark as she is a fluorescent Even without perfumes she wears an awesome sent Though she bears her flaws to same never condescends. Who carries a ghana-must-go of money Yet ignorant of the value therein I guess its only one who is blind totally Its like caressing and romancing a tree trunk Such a waste of passion and emotions. Shine dear star, for that you were born to Like the sun shines gracefully and true Even the blind can't feign ignorance that she is beautiful. Prince charming won't have a choice but to rescue you From kingdoms afar, woods and seas he will see through. Diamond in a dirt, that's who you are Lay quiet in wait, much to the delight of a happy miner. Price is rarity's beautiful daughter Though clouds can blanket the sun from shining but it won't last forever.

A SUCCOR FROM LOVE

Love presses on all sides Scouting for a glimpse of light I'm starting to feel emotionally paralysed As life and love seems far out of sight Suicide beckons, and, hey, I just might Just then, I saw Hope's light, though Just a Dash Caught in loves gentle caresses and cruelty Sinking deeper as I scurry for safety This must be the point where life and its doom meet. Insanity begins to feel feasible, I need psycho-analysis I need a place I can bare my hearts burden freely A friend nearby just whispered "JustDash" Secrets shared under a starry sky While the moon was still struggling to pry Hearts far apart searching for a path to come nigh To watch the lips of the moon kiss the sea on horizon's line. Where bedroom secrets are laid bare like clothes spread out to dry It has to be JustDash And thence JustDash I will.                    T2m

All Beauty is Temporal

Shilla Shilla oh Shilla Her name was like the world's tallest piller Her beauty shone like the brightest star None in the neighbourhood didn't know her She was are perfect description of a jewel by the most dexterous jeweller We craved to be-friend her Just to, once-in-a-day, say hi. The rivalry was totally worth her, If only she will spare you a few minutes of the time she has For time is what she scarcely had She was too engrossed in a fairy life of hers. Suitors came and suitors went But she was in no way going to wed "Marry and enslave myself?" She once said Every night club she went Wherever there was hullabaloo, you'll find her there Life was as fun as it could ever get In the joy of her beauty she basked In spite all advise she'd rather pass She got gifts, those she did and didn't ask Unaware how much time has passed Nor how fast it still is passing Now aged and old Time has taken its toll She now is alone and cold Wishing s

A Guide to Life

Just cos you've got so much money Too much of all everyone is wanting You order things to come and go Determine if things go fast or slow You're already neck deep sunk in misperception and disillusion Reality check Life is just giving you a blow job But when her deed is done I mean after the orgasm Life is going to slap you 'welcome to reality' Not-withstanding you place in life You must play fair and nice Giving a little love and respect won't hurt A hand to the helpless lot Let down your pride and let go ego They both lead where you don't want to go. Humility in the heart wealth Modesty in the midst of affluence Is by far a much better life's romance

My Baggage of Sin

Satan in serpent's guise Oh the fruit was cute and nice If only, oh if only If only I knew your words were as split as your tongue I certainly wouldn't have chosen wrong If only I knew I stood were you envy I would've shushed you plainly If only, oh if only But the fruit was cute and nice And I was so naive, I fell for my eyes From the forbidden beauty I had my bite The bite was beautiful, the fall was mine Mine mine mine and only mine Now standing a beauty lost in the mist of fleshly follies Hard as u struggle to break free The entanglement still holds me Beauty reduced to ashes Now only seen in the distant flashing I am pulling my baggage of sin

Poetic Magic

Three wives or at least two But I'm one of the few The few that believes in monogamy So I'm sticking to my marriage with poetry Yes, I admit to a couple of affairs with words But that's a crime my wife can easily wave go Like Sarah having her maid wooed Though desecrating to her matrimonial room. Make it rain all day Rain poems that makes heart stay sane Pain and bitterness interwoven into poetry Yes sad but the joy therein comes after the read. Let there be a deluge So much without a place for refuge Let the poetic flood wash away pollutants of this awesome world Let the poetic purification begin now. I pledge to transformational poetry I write this insane world back into sanity Recreating my own space Letting my pen and mind decide the pace. Peace out of chaos Addicted criminal gone pious I call that "Poetic magic"

The Human Web

An unsolved riddle A puzzle with missing pieces That's the state of humanity Confusion mares the focus Therein a lost purpose The purpose for which we were to furnish. Designed to be a web Each thread holding the next Thick or thin, none can stand separately An endless network of threads That's what humanity was meant to be. If a football team isn't complete without a player How then do we think bringing another down makes us more complete? It then appears ants are even more human than humans are.

My Best Trade

I'm trading sticks of cigarette for a poem Bottles of beer for a few more Whiskeys make me forlorn Why not a few more poems So I scribble and scribble some more I'm trading my loneliness for lines Rhymed or rhymeless, why should I mind When the please the eyes and tickles the mind I sure will memorize and mimic them like a mime So I'm still scribbling on this torn paper of mine I'm trading my hearts pain Trading it for a paper and a pen Like a painter ready to paint I deep my petite paint brush in a bowl of paint Dap dap, little dots, strokes and dashes as I dare to paint Little by little the whole picture is becoming plain I'm trading all love's tears Tears shade in secrecy for a poem shared publicly Though seemingly absurd but poems brings this inconceivable peace. So I'm scribbling and scribbling my way to serenity. I trade it all for a piece of poem I may not have made the point But I've washed clean my plough And starring at

Blacks, Whites and Browns

You are either black, white or brown. Not yet, don't frown at this myopic poem It's just a momentary flicker of thoughts Read till its home Else don't dare judge. I was saying, When you look, this is what you may see. People come in black, white and brown shading At least, that's what the eyes reveal So our treatment of each other follow these same shadings; Black, white and brown. "Blacks are dubious and evil Whites are righteous, just a little corny Browns are drug lords and...... something," don't ask me. Racial conflict Each struggling to be distinct Superiority tussle Utter show of psychological and mental muscle. Complexity expunging simplicity Even the weaver-spider is now entangled in its weaving. If we will but wear our true and innocent eyes, Everything we look perfect and right But we have all lost our minds Even flat grounds now make  tedious climb. We are neither blacks, whites nor browns We are just human beings, Hum

Be Human

When the earth quakes Even the sea is not safe Death lurks around every turn and caves When the aged curses Beware, even a tree on a bank withers Even the most eloquent stutters When a child cries The heavens is summoned And all the earth is cautioned When humanity falters And yet lack the humanity to admit same Beware for we are just at the bend before our shame. Make the mistakes then Just don't make excuses for them Just scurry and scout for the lesson therein.
