Two Of Me

My body is here
While my heart wanders there
Though I have never been there
But my head bears its image vivid and clear.

When you sleep, I am there beside your bed
Or at least, that's the picture in my head
When you choose to rest instead,
Lay your head on my breast
And I will play with your hair and, with it, learn how to braid.

I am divided in two
One of me here, the other with you.
Though sanity says "it is not a thing you can do"
But love says "that's not true,
You can be home and still be far away with your love too"

Two of me;
My heart and my body
How can that be?
I do not know if you ask me
But I know for sure it is what is.
