ITS JUST A NAME

As children, we were leaders of tomorrow
Tomorrow came but nothing changed
At least we succeeded in becoming hoodlums
The name they call us for airing our views

As youths we are still leaders of tomorrow
The youthship we are still tussling over with our fathers' age
Scrambling for the crumbs of our own ration
The ration that has been served to dogs

Dead has infiltrated our shield
Tammed hungry lions with titanium nozzles
Cornered, no escaping and no fighting back
The design seems for us to fail
Even when we fail, we are chided for failing

The leaders of a tomorrow that has defied dawning
Youth, the chained strength of the nation
Are we just for the appellation and never for the action?
