What Will You Do

Is it another day to watch the clock count the hours?
The mind builds but the heart cannot hold the towers
I guess we are far from spring and further from flowers
Leafs long lost, thus the capacity to cook chlorophyll
With emotions frozen and numb, how does one feel?

Is it another day of a wasted sun?
Hearts are set on a pier of hate to burn
Speeding down the wrong road yet expecting to get home
Man and humanity are on a reversed run
When the formula has flaws, shouldn't we know the outcome?

Is it another day of chants of silence?
Faces glow under the bright light of pretence
Society burns in the fires of negligence
Unknowingly, the future is sold for a few pence
Who dares speak when silence offers solace?

Is it another day to waste in wait?
Laze around and wait on the doom fated fate
All witnesses to life and dead's date
To give the future a hand, all hesitate
All dressed sleek, who will open the gate

Is it another day to just count what day it is?
Is it another day to trade blames?
Is it another day to wait for the end?
Or is it a day to make amends?
