I LOST HER

I lost her and the memories in her pockets
My mind still crawls the paths I took
I miss the feel of her on the right cheek of my buttocks
I miss her old wrinkled skin

I lost her and the thoughts within her torn womb
Will I ever find another like her again?
I miss her not for the 5 and 10 nairas she miserly holds
I miss her not for the bits of thoughts on rumpled papers within her breast

Today I lost her and the tales she is yet to tell
None other has the voice nor the eloquence to tell like she would
I miss her not because of her beauty
I miss her because of the beauty of the hand that gifted her.
