OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY SIMON LALONG, THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF PLATEAU STATE ON THE GRAZING ROUTE AND RESERVE BILL

OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY SIMON LALONG, THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF PLATEAU STATE.

I, just like every well meaning indigene of our dear state (Plateau State) have followed, with care and attention, your position on the "Grazing Route and Reserve Bill" which your government have called other name(s), like Ranches.
It is no longer news that you are soliciting acceptance and support for this bill on the home front in spite of the people's take on this same issue.
To start with, the bill on the floor of the house clearly stipulates "The Grazing Route and Reserves Bill" but you on the other have been trying to convince the people of Plateau State that it is Ranches you are soliciting support for. In this view, I can't help but ask the following questions:-
1. Which of the two are you campaigning for,
(a) The Grazing Route and Reserve Bill or
(b) Ranches
If it is not the Grazing Routes and Reserves Bill you have been seeking support for, there is no need going any further on this matter because for the fact that you have said it is not what you are conversing support and acceptance for, it will be safe to assume you are also not in support of that bill.
But if really it is the idea of RANCHES you are trying to sell to the people of this state, I have another question here.
2. Have you proposed another bill on RANCHES to the Federal Legislature?
If no is the answer to question no.2 then I think something is amiss here.
It is either;
This is an innocent misconception (which is very unlikely) or;
There are deliberate efforts to mislead the people into buying one thing in the packaging of another thing.
This open letter is not in any way aimed at discrediting you or your government nor in any way aimed at making any insulting statements. This letter is my own means of seeking answers to the many questions troubling me.
God bless Plateau State
God bless Nigeria.
