A Loner's Creed

Now I know, for the sun to rise and set, it is tidious,
More tidious is, what it takes for it to conquer the night.
Things that used to sly easy are now serious,
I used to be in the dark but distance has walked me into light.
I've never underestimated what you mean to me
But now I see it more clearly and vividly.
You are the broom that used to sweep this house
But loneliness has come to litter my heart
What is the use of a cat without its mouse.
I could master any other art
But this loneliness runs a realm of its own,
Though without a gold plated crown nor throne.

I have survived one more day
But now I tick and tock with the Midnight's clock.
I have learnt what the whining mosquitoes say
This heart is like a broken door without a lock.

This Good-by was way easy to say
But now my calendar seems to count skipping a day.
These days I just starve and pray
But I'm sure, soon, the winds will blow you back this way.
