Wrong roads lead the wrong way

We have built the wrong bridges
They have taken us to the wrong places
Yet we insist we must ply them

We have cried the wrong tears
They have hurt those that hold us dear
Yet we don't seem to realise

We have woken up with the wrong dream
They have set us on a wild chase
Yet we forge deeper blinded by this dream

We have leaned on the wrong shoulders
They have made us fall over ourselves
Yet we don't see the strength in self

We keep doing the wrong things for the right reason
Forgetting, we can't go to heaven by climbing up ladders
