False Hope

Seduce us out of wisdom into folly
Then laugh till you ache
Watching, aloof, as our essence break
Elated like the sun dancing on a wavy stream, jolly.

Blinded by your smokescreen
We became jubilant like a peer-pressured teen
In our sedateness, we went to sleep on a bed
Only to reveille on a coal, hot and red.

Goodbye days of fairy hope
I have seen the length of your slim rope
I know how you sting then rub
I have savoured the risk of making a pet of a cub

All the glitz has been but a farce
And your honey constipating
Offer your sham bridges but I'll pass
Yes I know how they can be tempting.

False hope is like a false alarm
Only realized long after the harm.

Suicide A lifeless body dangling from a string A slit wrist spewing crimson soul The short route into the unknown; Into the womb of the earth Making another casket pregnant The time poured into paving that old path The path to lost dream was starting to promise yield Though slowly but surely . Martin's faked smile and grin was so real Even his reddened eyes glittered from it Concealing the hurt, pain, and despair inside perfectly Did you end your pain and hurt to start mine? Her lands are green both on the surface and within, Down her valleys, even up her mountains and hills. Need I mention her virility? She is just fifty or fifty something But she already is mother to many So many that  we get lost in the counting But like a mother-hen, she is all sheltering Treating all her children with equality. She had sons in whom she prides Those who stood with her in strive, Those that nursed her to her first stride, The stride that brought her sovereign rights. Those that gave voice to her plight.
